Mike  Revell

Mike Revell was born in Norfolk in 1954 and studied Horn at the Royal Northern College of Music with Sidney Coulston. Since that time he has worked with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the CBSO, the Royal Ballet and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is presently sub-principal Horn with the English Symphony Orchestra  and a founder member of English Serenata, for whom he has made numerous adaptations and arrangements, notably for broadcast on Radio 2.


Over the course of the last 35 years his teaching experience has ranged from coaching on the Dartington Summer School and residency at the University of Wolverhampton to Special Needs work for the RNIB and classroom teaching in a Steiner School.


Mike has taught the Horn in Leicestershire since 2008.
